palmOne 'rocks' this Christmas

palmOne offers exclusive entertainment kit with the purchase of a Tungsten™ T2 and Zire™ 71 handheld in its "Palm Rocks" Christmas offer

SYDNEY, Nov., 14, 2003 – This Christmas, why not treat someone special to the ultimate multimedia handheld – the Tungsten™ T2 or Zire™ 71 handheld from palmOne Australia Pty Limited -- the perfect gift for media aficionados to keep them both organised and entertained in 2004. palmOne's Christmas offer, "Palm Rocks" couples the award-winning Tungsten T2 or Zire 71 handheld with a bonus palmOne entertainment kit which includes an MP3® audio kit, 64MB MMC expansion card, offering additional memory space; stereo headphones; and a USB expansion card reader/writer.

The "Palm Rocks" offer runs from Nov., 15, 2003 to Jan., 17, 2004 and enables customers to listen to their favourite tunes via MP3, store photos, videos and other software applications, in addition to all the other great functionalities that these handhelds have to offer, from the Tungsten T2's integrated Bluetooth™ and voice-recorder capabilities to the Zire 71's hidden digital camera.

The palmOne entertainment kit also includes a RealNetworks' RealOne Mobile Player, which means MP3 or RealAudio files stored on an expansion card can be heard through the handheld's built-in speaker, or via the stereo headphone jack, which provides excellent stereo sound quality. With RealNetworks' RealOne Mobile Player software, users can create and manage play lists, as well as run music in the background while using most other built-in palmOne applications. Furthermore, three MP3 files are provided on the expansion card, which means users can start listening to music on their handheld immediately after installing the RealOne Mobile Player.

Lesley McKnight, marketing manager, Australia and New Zealand, palmOne Australia Pty Limited said, "palmOne continues to be committed to extending the PDA market to new groups of users. "Palm Rocks" is a fantastic entertainment kit offering something for everyone: customers can listen to their favourite music, share photographs, play a short video of friends having fun, and keep their busy lives organised, making it the perfect gift for anyone this Christmas."

In addition, customers who buy any new handheld from palmOne will have the opportunity to enter a draw to win their very own Fujitsu 106cm plasma screen valued at AUD$8,999/NZ$10,375 (inc GST).
