palmOne Unveils Its First Cross-platform Wireless Keyboard

New Accessories Make Perfect Holiday Gifts for Consumers and Business Users

Sept. 22, 2004 -- Responding to the growing market demand for accessories, palmOne, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLMO), the market leader in handhelds and smartphones, today introduced three accessories for spring. Included are palmOne's first cross-platform-compatible Universal Wireless Keyboard; and a leather Treo™ 600 smartphone side-loading case.

In a related announcement, Mobile Digital Media (MDM) also announced new software titles and expansion cards for handheld and smartphone customers.

"Now that so many people have incorporated handheld computers and smartphones into every aspect of their lives, it's time to accessorise. A foldable keyboard, fashionable leather case or a new software title are ideal gifts," said Lesley McKnight, marketing manager, Australia, New Zealand and India, palmOne.

palmOne's First Universal Wireless Keyboard for Devices from palmOne, Dell and HP

Building on the design success of the original Wireless Keyboard, palmOne designed its new keyboard to work with handhelds and smartphones from palmOne, Dell and HP. It is designed for students and business professionals who are heavy email users and who need to compose lengthy wireless emails, notes, reports and compositions away from the desktop or laptop.

Smaller than a standard paperback book, the keyboard tucks neatly into the side pocket of a backpack or briefcase, making it easy to do as much work on a handheld or smartphone as on a laptop. It's the first wireless keyboard from palmOne with cross-platform compatibility.

Treo 600 Smartphone Leather Side Case Offers Style and Easy-to-use Functionality
palmOne's stylish black leather case with white stitching for the Treo 600 smartphone allows users to travel in style. The unique side-loading case also has a removable belt clip and a snap-closure to keep the Treo 600 secure.
