Palm and Navman Offer Affordable In-car Wireless Package for Mobile Professionals in Australia

SYDNEY, Australia, Aug. 10 2005 – Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM) and Navman today announced an affordable in-car wireless navigation system – the Palm® Tungsten™ E2 and Navman GPS 4470 navigation system. For a limited time, the special-edition bundle, 'GET AWAY PACK' -- valued at $1,298 -- can be purchased exclusively at Harvey Norman stores for only $799.

The Navman GPS 4470 takes advantage of the Tungsten E2's built-in Bluetooth® wireless technology to deliver a powerful, voice-guided, street-level in-car wireless navigation system, with maps1 covering the most traveled areas of Australia. The GPS 4470 lets drivers easily plan and track the quickest or shortest route to their destination, and then provides turn-by-turn voice instructions. Drivers also benefit from the latest 3-D maps; the option to save personal addresses as favourite routes; and Navman's Back-On-Track™ functionality, which helps them reach their destination in the event of a diversion or wrong turn.

Whether in or out of the car, users get a great mobile computing experience with Palm's Tungsten E2 handheld – allowing them to carry their calendars, contacts, favourite applications, photos, office documents and presentations, not to mention MP3s2 and video clips, wherever they go.

"By working with Navman, Palm provides an ideal GPS solution for the mobile professional with the 'GET AWAY PACK.' Not only can you keep all of your business and personal information and most important files with you while out of the office, you no longer need to worry about getting lost on your way to an important meeting or while on the road," said Paul Blinkhorn, vice president of Palm Asia Pacific.
