Two ways to connect. Wirelessly.

Check email and surf the web with Wi-Fi1 technology.
With Wi-Fi (802.11b), you can use your Palm® TX handheld to stay connected at a wireless access point or hotspot1, which makes it easy to send email, download documents, and browse the web on the go. With more than 80,000 public hotspots in popular hotels, cafes, and airports worldwide, chances are there's one near you. To find a free hotspot, visit www.wififreespot.com.

At home:

  • Surf the web and check your personal email from your couch over your own Wi-Fi network2.
  • View your meeting invites and add them to your office calendar via built-in Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync3.

At the office:

  • Tap into the corporate network and download an email attachment while waiting for a meeting2.
  • Grab that one presentation file that's sitting on your computer before you meet with your boss using WiFile4.

Out and about:

  • Access your company's web-based sales application over a latte at a café1.

Create a personal area network—minus the wires.
With Bluetooth® wireless technology, you can transfer information wirelessly between your Palm® TX handheld and compatible devices nearby, like computers, mobile phones, and other handhelds. When you're away from a Wi-Fi hotspot, connect with a Bluetooth mobile phone to browse the web, send email, and more—all without a cable6. It's a world without wires.

  • Synchronise with your computer without wires getting in the way7.
  • Challenge a friend with a Bluetooth handheld to a wireless game of Scrabble or Yahtzee (sold separately)7.

At the office:

Out and about:

  • Browse the web in landscape mode on your handheld and check email by connecting with a compatible mobile phone6.

  • Get directions on the fly with GPS.
Turn your Palm TX handheld into a personal navigation tool with the Palm® GPS Navigator. The Bluetooth-enabled receiver mounts on your windshield, where it communicates with satellites and your handheld via Bluetooth wireless technology to identify your car's position and provide voice guided, turn-by-turn directions and detailed maps. Requires a 64MB memory card (sold separately) with 60MB available space.

  • The Wi-Fi Enterprise Security Update for Palm TX handhelds
Add enterprise Wi-Fi to your Palm® T|X handheld. The Wi-Fi Enterprise Security Update (ESU) includes enhanced authentication and encryption for 802.1x-protected networks, as well as support for WPA Enterprise and WPA2 Enterprise.
