SMS Software Update for Treo™ 650 (for smartphones sold as Unlocked GSM units in Asia-Pacific region only)
This software update is designed to resolve an issue with the timestamps of received SMS messages being displayed incorrectly in the Treo Messaging application. Once installed, timestamps of messages sent from within the Asia-Pacific region will be displayed correctly.
Note: Timestamps of SMS messages sent from other time-zones may continue to be display incorrectly.
How to install
The SMS Software Update can be downloaded over-the-air to your smartphone and installed immediately. Or, if you prefer, you can download the Palm application to your PC or Mac and then sync it to your smartphone:
If you're reading this on your Treo 650 smartphone (over-the-air installation):
When you click on the download link below, installation will begin. But first, read these instructions and make sure you understand them.
After you click the download link, you'll be asked where to save the file. Select Save To: Applications. Then select Save. When asked if you want to accept "TreoSMSLib.prc" into Applications, select Yes.
When asked if you want to replace the existing TreoSMSLibrary with the one you are about to receive, select Yes.
Once the application is installed, perform a soft reset on your smartphone.
If you're reading this on a PC or Mac (download and HotSync installation):
Download the installer to your PC or Mac (see below).
Double-click the file you downloaded; the Palm Install Tool will appear. If asked, select your Treo 650 smartphone's user name.
Perform a HotSync operation to move the file to your smartphone.
