How to setup the Telstra Treo 750 for overseas roaming
When traveling outside of Australia or returning to Australia from an overseas trip, Telstra Treo 750 customers must be sure to adjust the band selection settings on the device to ensure proper network connectivity.
When traveling overseas from Australia set the Band Selection as such to ensure a successful roaming experience:
From the Today screen select the Start icon (top-left corner of the screen)
Select Settings
On the Personal tab select the Phone icon
Select the Services tab
Highlight “Band Selection” in the list
Set the Network Type to “Auto”
Set the GSM/UMTS Band to “Auto”
When returning to Australia from an overseas trip make sure to set the Band Selection to the default settings for the Telstra network:
From the Today screen select the Start icon (top-left corner of the screen)
Select Settings
On the Personal tab select the Phone icon
Select the Services tab
Highlight “Band Selection” in the list
Set the Network Type to “Auto”
Set the GSM/UMTS Band to “GSM(900+1800) + UMTS(850)”
