ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Centre appears to
connect and disconnect several times during the Updater process.
This is expected behaviour of the Updater.
The device has become unresponsive after running
the Treo 750 update
If you find after installing the Treo 750 update that you are unable
to use the phone or network features on the device there
is a recovery tool available to reset your device. Please refer to the Recovery
Tool for Treo™ 750 updater to recover your device. Once
your device has been reset, you can then proceed with the
update process again.
After
the Update completes ActiveSync tries to reconnect but is unsuccessful.
The Treo will sometimes go into standby at this point. On the PC the Updater
is still open and has not completed yet. Turn the Treo On by pressing the
red power button then the
Updater will complete successfully.
Device is not detected after a successful Update.
After a successful update you disconnect the device and then reconnect and notice
that ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Centre does not recognise that the device
is
reattached.
If your Treo does not reconnect, soft
reset your device and log out of Windows
and then log back in.
Keyguard settings are NOT saved after the Update.
The keyguard settings “5 seconds after power off” or “30
seconds after power off” will revert to “Disabled” after
performing an update. You will need to reset these settings after the
update.
'Welcome to the Pocket PC Synchronisation Setup Wizard' screen
might appear when connecting to ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Centre after
the update.
