    Business Challenge
    C&K employs early education and care consultants to monitor and report on centres in Queensland, ensuring the highest quality and care standards are maintained.

    C&K communicates with their consultants via email and phone. However, many of their kindergarten and childcare centres are based in rural areas not covered by normal GSM mobile reception. Consultants had been issued with BlackBerry® handsets, which were not supported by a 3G network, and as such they were often unreachable for up to a week at a time. Consultants also needed to send reports and update head office on a regular basis.

    To resolve this issue, C&K needed to upgrade to a 3G compatible product to give them greater access to mobile coverage in more rural areas.

    Solution
    Following the deployment of Palm Treo 750 smartphones across the organisation, C&K has seen a significant improvement in communication and a faster response time to issues. Consultants can update and submit reports to C&K's head office in a timely manner. Staff have embraced the Palm solution as it has enabled them to provide the best possible service to kindergarten centres.
