palmOne's Treo 600 Smartphone Now Available Through Carriers Aliant, MTS, SaskTel, Télébec, and NorthernTel



TORONTO, Nov. 24, 2004 – palmOne Canada today announced that the award-wining Treo™ 600 smartphone is now available to Canadians through Bell Wireless Alliance carriers, including Aliant Inc. in Atlantic Canada, Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. (MTS) in Manitoba, SaskTel in Saskatchewan, Télébec in Québec, and NorthernTel in Northeastern Ontario. The Treo 600 smartphone combines a world-class phone with messaging, email, and web-browsing capabilities and a Palm OS® 5-based handheld computer in a compact device with a phone-like look and feel1.

In August 2004, palmOne Canada and Bell Mobility announced the availability of the Treo 600 smartphone to Bell Mobility customers, marking the first time that any wireless device from palmOne has been deployed over a CDMA 1X network in Canada.

About the Treo 600 Smartphone
The Treo 600 smartphone from palmOne is a small, easy-to-use smartphone with a built-in QWERTY keyboard. It seamlessly combines a full-featured mobile phone; wireless communication applications, such as email, messaging and web browsing; a Palm OS organizer; and even a digital camera to simplify customers' business and personal lives. The keyboard, 5-way navigation button and other design features make it possible to get more done -- in fewer steps, with just one hand, and without having to swap back and forth between applications. The Treo 600 smartphone features a bright color screen and an integrated SD Card/MultiMediaCard slot that lets users add memory and content. It's lightweight, stylish, and small enough to fit in a pocket. Pricing and availability will vary from region to region with individual carrier service contracts.
