NOTE: If you use Palm Desktop 2.6.1, upgrade if you want to synchronize with a handheld running Palm OS 4.0 (e.g. Palm m500, Palm m505) or to get the Instant Palm Desktop fix.



Installing Palm™ Desktop 2.6.3 for Macintosh

Note for current Pilot Desktop 1.0 for Macintosh users:
If possible, you should perform a HotSync synchronization between your Palm handheld and the Pilot Desktop 1.0 software before installing this software.
  1. Download the dtmac_263_ENG.sit file above.
  2. Your web browser should decode the file and you will see dtmac_263_ENG.sit appear on the desktop (or in your default download folder).
  3. Use Aladdin Stuffit Expander or similar utility to expand the dtmac_263_ENG.sit archive (This may have been done automatically when you decoded the file).
  4. The "Palm Desktop Installer" icon should appear. Double-click this file.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete your installation
