palmOne's Treo 650 Smartphone Voted "Best PDA Phone 2005" by Asian MobileNews Readers and Industry Peers



Hong Kong, June 22, 2005 – palmOne, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLMO) today announced that the Treo™ 650 smartphone was awarded "Best PDA Phone" by Asian MobileNews, based on votes submitted by readers.

In conjunction with one of Asia's leading magazines for mobile telecoms operators, the Asian MobileNews Awards 2005 recognizes the achievement of companies and business people as industry leaders. Independent and democratic, a "Mobie" award is the peer-selected accolade that credits outstanding companies and individuals.

Accepting the award at a gala dinner held June 15 at the Tower Club Singapore, Mr Karthik Srinivasan, finance director for palmOne Asia Pacific, said "palmOne has a great history of innovation, and in the Treo 650, we set out to change the way people work, live and play."

The Treo 650 combines a full-featured quad-band mobile phone with a wide range of productivity applications, including email, organiser and web access1. Users also can view, edit and create Word and Excel compatible documents or access PowerPoint presentations on the go. In addition, Bluetooth® wireless technology allows the Treo 650 to connect wirelessly to other compatible Bluetooth devices, such as printers and headsets. Multimedia capabilities include a built-in MP3 player2 and a digital camera that can capture still images and video, which can be viewed on the vibrant colour screen.
