PIM Support Update for Tungsten E, Tungsten T3, Zire 31 and Zire 72 handhelds
This update corrects incompatibilities discovered between third-party desktop Personal Information Managers (PIMs) and Tungsten E, Tungsten T3, Zire 31 and Zire 72 handhelds. In addition, the update includes several smaller code adjustments and solutions.
System Requirements
  • Tungsten E, Tungsten T3, Zire 31 or Zire 72 handheld
  • 42 KB free memory on handheld (check memory)
  • Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager installed on desktop computer for file transfer
Note: This updater is intended for the Tungsten E, Tungsten T3, Zire 31 and Zire 72 handhelds. It is not meant for use with any other handhelds.
Installation Instructions
  1. Download:
  2. Locate the file you just downloaded.
  3. Decompress the file using a standard decompression utility.
  4. A folder named PIMSupportUpdate will be created. Open the folder, which contains the file PIMSupportUpdate.prc. Double-click this file. When the Install Tool window appears, select your handheld if asked, and hit Done. Close the Install Tool window when finished.
  5. Perform a HotSync operation to install the file onto your handheld.
  6. When prompted to Reset your device, tap the onscreen Reset button. This is a soft reset. Your personal data and applications will be retained.
