Treo 680 SMS Update - Installation Over The Air what is this software? |
If you're reading this on your smartphone, you can download the updater directly to your Treo 680.
Download SmsUpdateInstaller.prc
(223 KB Palm OS application file)
When asked where to "Save to:" select Device, then select Yes. On the Download screen, select Save and open. When asked whether you want to accept "SmsUpdateInstaller.prc" into Applications, select Yes.

How do I determine if the update was successful?
Press Applications 
. Then press Menu 
. From the App menu, select Info...
Tap “Size” on the bottom of the screen.
Use your stylus to scroll down until you see “PhoneInterfaceLib…” Note the size as listed on the right. Continue to scroll down until you see “TelephonyInterfac…”, and note this size as well.
