NOTE: The following information and software
tool are for use
ONLY in the event that your device has become unresponsive after running the
Treo™ 750 Updater 2.27.
For any other troubleshooting for the update please refer to Troubleshooting
tips
To resolve any instances of the Treo 750 device freezing or becoming
inoperable during the update process, a Recovery Tool application must be run.
To access this file navigate on your desktop computer as follows:
- On your desktop select My Computer and select Local Disc (C:)
- Select Documents and Settings
- Select your username folder (i.e. John Smith)
- Select Local Settings
- Select Temp
- Select Palm
- Select 750 RecoveryTool
- In the 750 RecoveryTool folder double click on the T750URT.exe file to
initiate the Recovery Tool
- Select the desired language and follow the onscreen instructions
When prompted to “Put the device into updater mode”, please
reference the illustration below.

Description of the device after running the Recovery Tool
After successfully administering the Treo 750 Update Recovery Tool the device will display the following message:
“The Update has completed successfully”.
At this point, the device will reset and you will be prompted through the
setup process. When this process is complete, the Today Screen will appear
and
the device is once again ready to install the Treo 750 Updater 2.27.
