This feature is not readily available, however the recommendation will be passed on the Palm Source Inc. to correct this area. (c)   A well-defined on-screen indication of the current focus shall be provided that moves among interactive interface elements as the input focus changes. The focus shall be programmatically exposed so that Assistive Technology can track focus and focus changes.
All handhelds by Palm have a user adjustable focus area. This focus area is adjustable by using either stylus to move the data, writing in shortcut keystrokes, using the up and down keys or using a built in navigator button. The Treo 650 contains a "5-Way Navigator" button that enables users with limited dexterity or limited use of one or both hands to select and display records, enter data or open and close applications. The user is able to alter the identity of these items, specifically assign images to operating elements and customize applications and font size. This option will allow users to adjust the font size from regular to small, small bold, large and large bold. (b)   When a timed response is required, the user shall be alerted and given sufficient time to indicate more time is required.
Applicable-The Treo 650 does not require a timed response to indicate that more time is required. The Treo 650 unit does incorporate an “{Auto Power Off” feature to conserve battery life. The timer for the auto power off feature is adjustable up to 3 minutes.  If a dialog box is open and waiting from input from the user, the unit will not prompt the user before shutting down. Applicable-The Treo 650 does not require the use of hearing to operate. The Treo 650 handheld is a visual and organizational product and can communicate to its' user both graphically (via customizable pictographs) or via text. The Treo 650 can be connected to an accessory headset device, speaker and/or a microphone jack. This allows users to playback audio and or video files via third party applications. The navigator button allows for one handed use and limited fine motor control. Handhelds by Palm are adaptable and compatible with devices designed by Palm Source and third parties providers. These devices may require fine motor skills or simultaneous actions in order to operate the unit.
