Dave Whalen

As senior vice president of global sales and an executive officer of the company, Dave is responsible for the successful execution of Palm’s global sales strategy. He’s a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience across all channels, including retail, distribution, mobile operators, and eCommerce.

Prior to joining Palm, Dave was executive vice president of global sales at Aepona, Ltd., an innovator and leading solution provider in the Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) market. He has held executive and leadership positions of increasing complexity and responsibility at companies such as Sony Wireless (Qualcomm), Kyocera, Wireless Knowledge and Openwave. He has sold products in the handset business as well as the data/application (infrastructure) business, and to wired and wireless operators around the world.

Dave has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Ithaca College, with graduate studies in business at Boston University. He sits on the board of directors for USC Marshall School of Business (Center Telecom Management), and on the board of advisors for Network in Motion, a private company based in Orange County, Calif.
