Maximizer PilotLinkTM Ideal for SFA Users of New PalmPilotTM Products

VANCOUVER, BC March 10, 1997 - Maximizer Technologies Inc., leading developer of sales force automation (SFA) and contact management software, developed Maximizer PilotLinkTM with U.S. Robotics' new PalmPilotTM product line in mind. Maximizer PilotLink enables users to maintain contact information and link Maximizer's powerful contact management database from their office desktop PC to their PalmPilot connected organizer. Maximizer PilotLink also was the first application to pass testing for U.S. Robotics' Platinum Level Pilot Compatible Products Program in January.

Maximizer PilotLink helps maximize the impact of PalmPilot's enhanced platform, as well its broadened capabilities, and is an ideal solution for PalmPilot users especially of SFA applications who want the flexibility and sales-enhancement technology of a powerful contact manager. While the PalmPilot stores its information in four separate internal applications, Maximizer links people to companies and organizations, and links relevant Notes, To-Do's, Appointments, and other items to people all in one database.

Maximizer PilotLink lets Maximizer users keep the same information about their clients and contacts both in Maximizer and on PalmPilot, and makes synchronizing the two databases very easy. PilotLink supports full synchronization of Maximizer Client, Contact, Appointment, Hotlist, and Note information with PalmPilot Address, Datebook, To-Do, and Memo information. Users simply place the PalmPilot in its cradle and press its "HotSync" button.

Maximizer PilotLink will then compare records in the desktop Maximizer database and the PalmPilot database, and synchronize the latest changes so both PalmPilot and Maximizer are up to date. PalmPilot, manufactured by the Palm Computing division of U.S. Robotics, is the best-selling handheld computer on the market today. A pocket-sized device composed almost entirely of an LCD screen controlled by a pen-like stylus, PalmPilot's built-in software stores contact information, appointments, memos and to-dos, much as does Maximizer 3.0is, but in simplified form.

PalmPilot connects to desktop PCs using a unique cradle, in which the PalmPilot is inserted, and which connects to a PC with a standard cable. In a typical example, a Maximizer user might enter an appointment using the PalmPilot from a mobile location. The appointment will be properly linked to that person once synchronized with the Maximizer database at the corporate office.
