3Com Corporation Releases Spanish Language Version of the Best-Selling PalmPilot™ Professional Edition Connected Organizer

Santa Clara, Calif. -- November 3, 1997 -- 3Com Corporation (Nasdaq:COMS) today announced availability of a Spanish language version of the market-leading PalmPilot™ Professional Edition connected organizer. The PalmPilot organizer, designed as a companion product to personal computers, enables mobile users to manage their schedules, personal information, and e-mail on the road and at their desktops. The product is also available in English, French and German language versions.

The PalmPilot Professional Edition organizer offers remote e-mail connectivity and the option to synchronize PalmPilot information with the user's desktop computer locally over TCP/IP networks or remotely via a portable snap-on modem. It also features expense management software, a backlit screen, Personal Information Management (PIM) software applications, and games. 3Com's innovative HotSync technology enables users to synchronize all of their e-mail, contact, scheduling, and personal information on their PalmPilot organizer with the information on their personal computer at the touch of a button.
