Purple Software Announces First Software Title For Palm OS™
London and New York, June 21, 1999 - Purple Software Limited announces the release of the company's eagerly awaited first software application for the Palm OS™. GeoMaster was conceived to provide Palm handheld device users with a comprehensive and configurable set of data for world travel. The top-of-the-line functionality, includes:
- Scrollable world map with multi-level zoom and customizable display options.
- Information on approximately 1000 countries and cities - with ability to edit and add cities
- Topics include : latitude/longitude, distance and bearing from home city, local times, currencies, dialing codes, sun rise/set, population, area, GNP (Gross National Product)
- Universal currency converter
GeoMaster is ideal for mobile handheld users who need to have information at their fingertips when planning journeys, and whilst travelling, when information such as currency, dialing codes and local time are indispensable. With so much readily accessible data, users will rarely need to carry bulky travel books with them again! The quality of the graphical map interface is typical of Purple Software's design signature.
