3Com Wins Four Awards In PCWorld Hong Kong's 'World Class Awards 1998'
Second year in a row for 3Com to win the best new product, best modem, best PDA/handheld PC and best switch/hub categories
Hong Kong, March 17, 1999 - Global networking leader 3Com Corporation (Nasdaq: COMS) has captured four awards in the PCWorld Hong Kong "World Class Awards 1998" event. This is the second year in a row that 3Com has captured the top spots in the "Best PDA/Handheld PC", "Best Modem", "Best Network Switch/Hub" and "Best New Product" categories.
The "World Class Awards" are voted for by the readers of PCWorld Hong Kong. 3Com’s wins in this year’s event are as follows:
- Best PDA/Handheld PC -- 3Com Palm III connected organizer (61% of reader votes)
- Best Modem -- 3Com® V.90 U.S. Robotics® 56K Voice Faxmodem Pro (30% of reader votes)
- Best Network Switch/Hub-- 3Com SuperStack® II dual speed hub 500 (32% of reader votes)
- Best New Product -- 3Com Palm III connected organizer (11% of reader votes)
