Palm in Center Stage at TECHXNY

Handheld Leader Prominent at Major Industry Event With Keynote, News Palm, Inc. -- Booth No. 3404 Designed for Palm Handhelds Pavilion -- Booth No. 3422

NEW YORK, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM), a leading provider of handheld computers, is center stage at TECHXNY, one of the tech industry's leading events, attended by more than 50,000 business professionals, here at New York's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, June 26 -- 28.

The company's chief executive officer, Carl Yankowski, is delivering the show's opening keynote address this morning. Directly following the keynote, Yankowski will hold a media Q&A session to answer questions related to the keynote. In addition, approximately 20 third-party Palm Economy partners are launching products here at the show.

In the keynote, titled "Handheld Computing: Grass Roots to Corporate Standard," Yankowski will discuss how handheld computers, along with mobile phones and notebooks, broke the chains that tethered workers to their desks. Once a grass-roots trend among the technical elite, handhelds have found a place among mobile professionals and enterprises -- and are fast becoming a bold, new platform for managing the heart of business itself. Yankowski will provide a look at the technologies and innovations that are fueling this revolution, not just for the future, but also in the here and now.

"Palm has many solutions, services and partners here at TECHXNY. We are demonstrating our leadership in the handheld market -- both as a device maker and as a platform," said Satjiv Chahil, Palm's chief marketing officer. "Our wide range of products and partners target the expanding needs of our customers, from entry-level consumers to mobile professionals to large enterprises. This conference is a great venue to show business executives the vibrancy of Palm and the Palm Economy -- the pioneering spirit and innovation that continues to drive competitive advantage and the future of handheld computing."

A Palm press package outlining all the announcements is available in the show press room as well as electronically at http://press.palm.com .
