SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM) today announced that its Mobile Mentor(TM) Software:
Student Edition has earned a five-star rating and a PC Magazine Editors'
Choice award in the Palm OS(R) category. In an April 9 article titled "Kid
Stuff on Your PDA," the magazine said the software "strikes the right balance
between work and play, and is an ideal suite for any student from junior high
through college." In its review of the software collection, the magazine said, "DataViz's
Documents To Go lets you ... edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, and
MobileDB covers basic database needs. Math whizzes will appreciate the
ImagiMath graphical calculator. Tack on an outlining tool, a spell-checker, a
thesaurus, a class and grades organizer, and an e-book reader and encoder and
this is a dream package for any on-the-go learner. And when your brain gets
full, you can load up the included space shooter, Zap!2000. Every app in this
package is fully registered and first-class." Palm, a pioneer in the field of mobile and wireless Internet solutions and
