Sprint and Handspring Team to Deliver Wireless Data Solution to DecisionOne Nationwide Mobile Workforce

DecisionOne customer service engineers to be wirelessly powered by Sprint as part of three-year, $5million deal

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - August 4, 2003 —Sprint (NYSE: FON, PCS) today announced a three-year, $5 million deal with DecisionOne, an information technology support services provider. Companies wanting to maximize their return on information technology (IT) investments, minimize capital investments and infrastructure costs, and optimize operational effectiveness rely on DecisionOne for comprehensive OneSource IT support services. With the suite of PCS Wireless WorkplaceSM solutions, DecisionOne customer service engineers are able to deliver services and support to their customers more efficiently than ever.

"Companies are watching their bottom line more than ever and are demanding the best possible efficiencies out of their IT systems," said George De Sola, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DecisionOne. "Through our agreement with Sprint, DecisionOne will achieve substantial telecommunications savings while being able to better meet the needs of our customers through a faster, more efficient service system."

Seeking a way to further increase customer satisfaction and reduce expenses by consolidating the use of its wireless devices, DecisionOne has equipped approximately 1,200 of its customer service engineers throughout the nation with the PCS Phone by Handspring Treo 300, enabling them to make voice calls and connect to the company's web-based customer service management application. Previously, engineers utilized two-way pagers and wireless handsets to receive service requests, order parts and update customer tracking systems. This implementation is expected to save DecisionOne up to 10 percent of its annual telecommunications expense.

"Sprint understands DecisionOne's need to constantly increase productivity and customer satisfaction and still be able to reduce costs," said Jay Highley, president of business sales for the PCS Division of Sprint. "The PCS Clear Wireless WorkplaceSM makes this possible through a combined offering of nationwide coverage, high-speed wireless data applications, a broad selection PCS Phones with PDA functionality and advanced voice services."

"Having access to important web-based field service information, email message updates and your entire phone directory is critical for mobile service technicians working in the field," said Kendall Fargo, vice president of enterprise and consumer sales for Handspring, Inc. "The PCS Phone by Handspring Treo 300 is a powerful productivity tool that provides all of these features in one compact device eliminating the need to carry multiples devices and increasing productivity while away from the desk."

In another move to increase productivity, DecisionOne is utilizing Voice CommandSM Business Directory, an enhanced service of PCS Voice CommandSM that provides customers with the ability to centrally manage and maintain corporate dialing lists that can be used by designated PCS Voice Command subscribers within an organization. The new service gives employees convenient voice access to their business directory and other important contacts by simply pressing *TALK on any PCS Phone.
