HANDSPRING LAUNCHES VISOR™ IN FRANCE
Handspring International brings its award-winning expandable handheld computers to the French markets via Web and retail
Geneva, Switzerland (September 6th, 2000) - Handspring International Sarl. today announced it began selling its popular line of Visor™ expandable handheld computers and Springboard™ expansion modules within the French markets. French speaking customers can now buy the colourful family of Visor handhelds in a localized French version from the Handspring web site at www.handspring.com/fr, with prices starting at FRF 1.171. Prices are quoted excluding VAT (value-added tax).
Visor will also be available this month through leading computer and consumer electronics retailers FNAC, Carrefour and The Phone House in France as well as through major retail stores in French-speaking Belgium and Switzerland. Handspring expects its channel partners to begin carrying a variety of Springboard modules as they become available in localized editions. Handspring's backup module, 8 MB Flash module and a range of Visor accessories are available immediately.

The three products in the Visor family will have suggested retail prices of F 1.171 for the Visor Solo, F 1.463 for the Visor and F 1.839 for the Visor Deluxe edition. All prices are quoted excluding VAT.
