The Palm® Treo™ 700w and 700wx combine a smarter phone with mobile wireless broadband speeds,2 wireless email,2 and rich media capabilities—all on the Windows Mobile®platform.2
Check out some of the advantages to using these all-in-one devices:
-
Surf the web on the go.2 Use one of the most popular browsers to search the web and check web-based email such as AOL, Gmail, and Yahoo! on your Treo smartphone2.
-
Download web content. Enhanced Microsoft® Internet Explorer® Mobile functionality makes it easier to download and save photos, sounds, and music directly from a website to your Treo. You can also download applications, ringtones, and other files specifically tagged for download.
-
Bookmark your favorites. Bookmark a web page for quick access, and create folders to organize your favorites. Store travel links in one folder, stock links in another, and business links in a third.
-
Search the web with ease. Conduct a web search right from the Today screen. Simply navigate down to the Web Search field, enter the item you want to find, and then press the Return key on the keyboard or the Center button on the 5-way navigator to see your search results.
-
Perform secure transactions. Check bank accounts, buy books online, access web-based email, and keep data secure with 128-bit SSL encryption. Just look for the Lock icon to the left of the address bar in your browser to ensure you're on a secure web page.
-
Email2 or call straight from a web page. Email addresses appear as links on web pages. After you configure an email application on your Treo, you can select an email link to quickly create a message to that address. Or, simply click on a phone number to automatically dial that person—no configuration required.
-
Keep track of where you've been. Go back to the pages you visited recently by accessing the History list. Return to the previous page by using the left Action Key or use the backspace on the keyboard.
-
Share a web page with a friend. Send Link functionality lets you easily send a web link via email.
-
Access streaming content. Enjoy movie trailers, music, sports, and news—all optimized for viewing on your Treo—through the Windows Media® mobile portal, a Favorite in the browser.
-
Enjoy multiple viewing options.
-
Default View: Maintains a layout similar to what you see on a desktop computer, but makes items smaller and arranges the content so you can see most of the page without scrolling horizontally.
-
One Column: Arranges web pages into one column that's as wide as the screen, so you don't have to scroll horizontally.
-
Zoom: Zoom in or out on pages to view the way that works best for you.
-
Desktop: Maintains the same layout and size as on a desktop computer, requiring both horizontal and vertical scrolling.
-
Full Screen: Hides the status and navigation areas and fills the entire screen with the web page.
-
Show Pictures: Shows or hides pictures on web pages. Hiding pictures allows web pages to load more quickly.
