  • Take advantage of speed dialing.
    Dial by tapping on a photo or text speed dial from the Today screen. Or dial using quick keys—hold down a key to automatically dial the phone number assigned to it. If nobody answers, you can press and hold the speed dial to select an alternate number or send a text message instead.2

  • Dial right from an application.
    Select a phone number in an SMS, document file, web page, or email, and press the Send key to automatically dial the number. There's no need to copy and paste the phone number or try to memorize it on the spot.
