The Treo 90 Updater 1.1 adds SD I/O (Secure Digital Input/Output, SDIO) support and other improvements to Treo 90 organizers manufactured during the first months of production. This updater lets early adopters take advantage of third-party SD I/O expansion cards, including Bluetooth.

What does the Treo 90 Updater 1.1 do?

• Adds SD I/O support. For example, compatible Bluetooth cards may be used.
• Eliminates the SanDisk 128MB SD formatting issue
• Adds other behind-the-scenes improvements, typo corrections and edits
• Changes the Palm OS version to Palm OS® v.4.1H3.

What happens during the update?
The Treo 90 Updater 1.1 uses a desktop wizard to guide you through the process. The wizard prompts you to perform a HotSync operation before the upgrade proceeds. Do not skip this step, as all your data and applications are erased from the Treo during the update. After the wizard installs the updater, you perform another HotSync operation to restore the data.

What's the difference between Treo 90 Updater 1.1, and version 1.0?
The Treo 90 Updater 1.1 provides the same functionality as Treo 90 Updater 1.0 (SD I/O and other fixes). It also adds back two Palm OS applications that were inadvertently omitted from the Treo 90 Updater 1.0: Palm Mail and Expense.

• If you installed the Treo 90 Updater 1.0 and you want to use Palm Mail or Expense, you should download the Treo 90 Updater 1.1.
• If you installed the Treo 90 Updater 1.0 and do not use Palm Mail or Expense, you don't need to download the 1.1 version.

1. Applications launcher.
2. Access the Menu launcher.
3. From the App menu, select Info.
4. Tap on Version.
5. At the top of the screen:

Palm OS v.4.1H or v. 4.1H2: You can install the updater
Palm OS vs. 4.1H3: You do not need the updater

1. Download:
   • Windows ZIP File: Treo90Updater11.zip (2.3 MB)

   • Windows EXE File: Treo90Updater11.exe (2.4 MB)
     -OR-
   • Macintosh SIT File: Treo90Updater11.sit (1.5 MB)
2. Decompress the file using a standard decompression utility.
3. If you use Outlook, change your conduits to "Outlook overwrites handheld": more info.
4. Double-click the Treo90Updater1.1.exe (Windows) or Treo90Updater1.1.sit (Macintosh) file that you downloaded.
5. Follow all instructions in the installer.
6. If you changed your conduit actions above, change them back.
