NOTE: The following information and the software tool posted here are for use ONLY in the event that you have attempted to take the Treo 750 Desktop Updater 2.25 for AT&T Customers and the device has become unresponsive.
TREO 750 UPDATE RECOVERY TOOL INSTRUCTIONS
To resolve any instances of the Treo 750 device freezing or becoming inoperable during the AT&T Treo 750 Desktop update process, a Recovery Tool application must be run. To access this file navigate on your desktop computer as follows:
- On your desktop select My Computer and select Local Disc (C:)
- Select Documents and Settings
- Select your user name folder (i.e. John Smith)
- Select Local Settings
- Select Temp
- Select Palm
- Select 750RecoveryTool
- In the 750RecoveryTool folder double click on the T750URT.exe file
to initiate the Recovery Tool
- Select the desired language and follow the onscreen instructions.
When prompted to "Put the device into updater mode", please reference the illustration below.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE AFTER ADMINISTERING THE RECOVERY TOOL
After successfully administering the AT&T Treo 750 Update Recovery Tool the device will display the following message:
"The Update has completed successfully".
At this point, the device will reset and the user will be prompted through the set up process.
When this process is complete, the 'Today' Screen will appear and the device is once again ready to install the Treo 750 Updater 2.25 for AT&T Smartphones.
