This software update is designed to resolve an issue with the Palm TX handheld's sleep/wake cycling when used with an accessory cradle, purchased separately. Once installed, the Palm TX handheld will function normally when inserted into the cradle.

• Palm TX handheld. Do not install this update on other handhelds.
• At least 1MB free memory (how to check)

This update can be downloaded to your Windows or Mac computer and synchronized to your handheld. Or, it can be downloaded directly to your handheld through a Wi-Fi Internet connection.

If you're viewing this on a Windows or Mac computer

1. Download: PalmTX_cradlepatch.prc (6KB)
2. Double-click the file you downloaded; the Palm Install Tool will appear. If asked, select your Palm TX handheld's user name.
3. Perform a HotSync operation to move the file to your handheld.
4. Once you've synchronized, press Applications .
5. Tap on the application named TXCradleFix.
6. The update will be applied to your device.

If you're viewing this on your Palm TX handheld

1. Download: PalmTX_cradlepatch.prc (6KB)
2. When asked where to "Save to:" select Device. Then select Yes.
3. On the Download screen, select Save and open.
4. When asked whether you want to accept "PalmTX_cradlepatch.prc" into Applications, select Yes.
5. The update will be applied to your device.

Check if the patch was installed successfully

1. Press Applications .
2. Press Menu .
3. From the App menu, select Info.
4. In the list, look for the item named TxPwrOutSleepW... If you see it, the patch was installed successfully.
