Before you begin:

1. Be sure you are logged in to your Mac with admin privileges. If you're not sure how to do this, refer to Apple support.
2. Keep your Mac's admin password in mind. You'll need to enter it during installation.
3. Take a quick look at the Palm Desktop 4.2.1 README.

Download & install:

1. Download (17.1MB DMG file): PalmDesktopMac421Revd.dmg
2. Locate the PalmDesktopMac421Revd.dmg file you downloaded. Double-click this file.
3. After your Mac mounts the file, a new icon named palmOneSoftware.pkg will appear in the same location. Double-click this item.
4. The Palm Desktop installer wizard will begin. Follow the onscreen instructions to install Palm Desktop on your Mac.
5. When installation is finished, you may drag and drop the palmOneSoftware.pkg item to the Trash, or archive it on your Mac hard drive for future reference.

The Palm Desktop download above includes these languages. To switch to your language:

1. On your Mac, click the Apple logo in the upper left corner.
2. Select System Preferences.
3. In System Preferences, select International.
4. In the list of languages, move your preferred language to the top.
5. Log off your Mac, then log back in.

The Mac OS X system, including Palm Desktop, will appear in your language. Need help switching the Mac OS X System Preference for language? Visit Apple's website for info.

The installer for Palm Desktop 4.2.1 Rev D does not include an uninstall function. To uninstall Palm Desktop, open your Mac's Applications folder, and drag and drop the Palm folder to the trash. If Palm Desktop is in the Dock, drag its icon off the Dock.
